As a health coach specializing in thyroid and autoimmune disorders, I use a unique blend of scientifically proven strategies, behavioral theories and practical skills to help my clients achieve lasting changes to acquire and live in optimal health within their condition.
As a child, I watched my vivacious mother's health deteriorate due to her struggles from a post Thyroidectomy. She was getting sicker and sicker, while her stack of medications was getting larger and larger. Every other new doctor had a batch of drugs prescribed to her, as her health progressively deteriorated. The standard medical system totally failed my poor mother.
Then at just 20 years of age, I was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS). Soon after, I was diagnosed with Hypothyroidism, followed by a diagnosis of Hashimotos. I gained over 50 lbs. within four months and started experiencing the downsides of this autoimmune disease: eczema, celiac, dairy intolerance, IBS, etc. I was going through the same health challenges my mother had battled her entire life. With her experience as a reference, I couldn't imagine living my whole life in pain due to inflammation and lack of knowledge about my illness. I began a life long journey of inner wellness, while not solely relying on the healthcare system that has let my mother down.
My multiple diagnoses ignited the wholehearted commitment to educating myself on autoimmune disorders and personal development. I was driven to understand more than focus on the deficiencies of autoimmune disorders. I awakened my inner strength, motivation and desire to make long lasting changes, which has allowed me to enjoy a healthy life over the past years.
Today, I am inspired to share my knowledge and support people like you on this journey. You don't have to struggle alone while trying to improve your health. I will work by your side to coach and guide you to inner wellness and optimal health.

People often know what they need to do, but not how to get it done. We are creatures of habit and our health behaviors have been shaped and ingrained by so many different factors, such as genetics, friends, family, geographical location, culture, life experiences, and even jobs that we do! Think about it, we use food, physical activity, alcohol to cope with negative feelings, to soothe our nerves or when we connect with others or even to celebrate our accomplishments. Unfortunately, using food, physical activity and alcohol as a coping mechanism or as a reward has a tremendous downside to our health, especially when genetic factors and predisposition to autoimmune disorders are already stacked up against us.
Then how do we change these behavior patterns?
Behavior change is a truly individualized and a nonlinear experience. Since our health and the health behaviors are influenced by so many different variables, it is important to recognize that every person's journey to optimal health and wellness is unique.
We all want to have better health but the idea of what better health looks like is different for everyone. For some people, better health might revolve around reducing stress. For others, it might mean improving sleep, exercising regularly, or maintaining their chronic health condition. As a health coach, I partner with my clients who are seeking self-directed and lasting changes to enhance and guide their inner wellness. Based on where you are in life and what your needs are, we will work together to build a program that will address your needs.
